Peruvian Blueberry



Place of origin: The places of origin of Peruvian blueberries are mainly distributed in La Liberta, Lima, Ancash, Arequipa and Ica, with a planing area of nearly 4,800 hectares.

Production season: Peruvian blueberries are produced throughout the year. The export season of Peruvian blueberries covers the period from August to December every year.

Appearance and taste: For Peru's geographical location is close to the equator, it belongs to a tropical desert climate. There're little rain and abundant sunlight all the year round, plus the blueberry planting soil irrigated by rivers, it forms an environment suitable for the growing of blueberries - abundant sunlight and moderate temperature. Peruvian blueberries are large in fruit shape, usually oval or oblate, with a small kernel (which can be swallowed), obvious fruit frost, and firm flesh, sour-sweet and tasty. When it appeared on the market initially, the taste was slightly sour, and close to pure sweet in the middle and later periods. Blueberries are rich in various vitamins and trace elements, which can relieve eye fatigue.
