Chen Xuemei, 47, was originally a rural girl in Minquan County, Shangqiu, Henan Province. Chen Xuemei said that when she was a child, her family had many younger siblings and especially poor economic conditions. She was one of the most difficult families in the village. It snows heavily in winter, and she and her younger siblings are still wearing open-toe shoes. After graduating from junior high school, Chen Xuemei saw that her parents could no longer afford to pay for her and her siblings to go to school, so she voluntarily gave up her studies, helped her parents do farm work at home, and went out to wholesale some daily necessities to sell at the market in her spare time to subsidize her family, but it was still a drop in the bucket. Later, Chen Na, the third sister who was only in the fifth grade of primary school, was also forced to drop out of school and work with her sister to set up stalls.
In 1992, in order to earn more money for the other seven brothers and sisters to go to school, the sisters resolutely left their hometown and came to Zhengzhou, hoping that their aunt who worked in Zhengzhou could find a job for them. Later, with the help of their aunt, the two sisters began to ride tricycles to set up stalls around the most prosperous commercial building in Zhengzhou to sell fruit, because the investment in selling fruit is small and they do not need any technology, as long as they can bear hardships. Every day in the wind and rain, it lasted seven or eight years. Not only did I support my brothers and sisters to go to school, but I also had some savings.

Chen Xuemei and her third sister Chen Na believe that the business will never be big only by setting up stalls to sell fruits. Seeing others making a lot of money in fruit wholesale, the sisters were very moved. In the summer of 2000, the two took out their hard-earned 40000 yuan and part of the bank loan to rent a stall at the Zhengzhou Second Ring Road Fruit Wholesale Market and started to do fruit wholesale business.
After market investigation, the sisters thought that the entry threshold of strawberries was not high, the taste and appearance were suitable for the needs of the market at that time, the purchase was convenient, and the profit was considerable, so they chose to start with this category. However, in the early stage of the business, because of the lack of business experience, the quality of the fruit was not in place, and the market situation was not understood, and all the savings were quickly lost.
"What saddens us most is that in 2002, I took the loan to Guangxi and got a car of longan. At that time, I only wanted to be cheap. I didn't carefully check the quality of longan and didn't know the market situation in Zhengzhou. After a car of longan was pulled back to the market, no one bought it at all because of the high price. As a result, this batch of longan, which was originally of poor quality, quickly rotted away and had to be treated at a low price." Chen Xuemei said that she really lost all her money at that time. Not only did she not earn any money, she also owed a lot of foreign debts, which dealt a great blow to her and her third sister. In a fit of anger, she went back to her hometown and vowed to never do fruit wholesale business again.
Start a business again and make a new world.
However, after returning to their hometown, the sisters, after careful analysis, summed up their experiences and lessons, and finally, with the support of their brothers and sisters, with 10000 yuan and tens of thousands of yuan in bank loans borrowed from fellow villagers, returned to Zhengzhou second Ring Road Fruit Wholesale Market in the spring of 2003 and continued to start a second business. In 2010, the Chen sisters led the family of Chen Sunshine to explore the way, multi-product management, differentiated management, after-sales guarantee management, and brand service management, and finally reached the forefront of the industry in the entire region and entered the Great Central Plains fruit wholesale market. However, because there is no venue, the dream of operating imported fruits has not been realized.
In 2012, the company entered Zhengzhou Wanbang Fruit Wholesale Market, registered and established Zhengzhou Chen's Sunshine Fruit and Vegetable Trading Co., Ltd., began to set foot in the new field of imported fruits, and began to operate as a company. In March 2015, the company established Import and Export Trading Co., Ltd., registered its own trademark brand, and established an international purchasing department. In April 2015, the five younger sisters of the family resolutely gave up their comfortable bank work and returned to Chen's sunshine with enthusiasm to boost the development of the company.
